As always, and after a long 18-month hiatus, it was an honour to revisit the historic Truman Brewery last month to showcase our wares at the London Coffee Festival.
We served chilled espresso martinis on tap courtesy of Bean Thinking (an incredible pairing of Roasting Party coffee alongside vodka and coffee liqueur from Gorilla Spirits), bags and bags of beans in our newly upgraded packaging, and frankly too many flat whites to count.
We were also stoked to be back sponsoring the Coffee Masters™ stage with our highly classified Party of 10 competition coffees (now available to buy through our shop). Kudos to all the competitors, and huge congrats to the champion Agnes Sokolvska who wowed us with her faultless origin cupping round and awesome smile.
Other festival highlights for us included a dangerously good orange and dark chocolate espresso martini created by The Espresso Room, and a true industry first courtesy of our friends at Daisy Green and their innovative tinned beans. And no, we’re not talking the school dinners kind. Aside from the wonderfully kitsch, Warhol-inspired packaging, they’ve nailed the seemingly impossible – long life beans and shelfie ready? We’re in.
But perhaps more than anything else, we thoroughly enjoyed nerding out on all things coffee with formidable talent from across the UK industry and beyond – many of whom we’re lucky enough to call friends.
We can’t wait to be back in 2022.
